Starting in 2023, Vitali Alekseenok was appointed Principal Guest Conductor of the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania, Italy. After the successful opening of the 22/23 symphony season, he was immediately invited to work with this theatre and orchestra in the coming seasons on a regular basis.

Vitali Alekseenok made his debut at the Teatro alla Scala today.

After weeks of intensive work with the singers, choir, orchestra and the entire production team of the theatre, today they made the world premiere of Pierangelo Valtinoni's opera Il Piccolo Principe, specially commissioned by the Teatro alla Scala.

As part of the Beethoven Festival in Bonn, the project, in which Alekseenok not only handles the work as conductor, but also conception, dramaturgy, communication and overall artistic direction, takes centre stage at this year's festival. The Campus Project with a focus on Belarus and Ukraine is a collaboration between the Beethoven Festival and Deutsche Welle, who are making a documentary about events in Belarus and Ukraine, with Vitali as one the main protagonists, who brings the two countries together in his activities.

The concerts will take place on 8 September in the former German parliament building in Bonn and on 25 October in Pierre Boulez Hall in Berlin.
