Vitali Alekseenok is new artistic director of the Ukrainian Festival Kharkiv Music Fest, taking up his post from the 2021/22 season.

Kharkiv Music Fest is a music festival held annually in Kharkiv, the second largest city in Ukraine. Among the artists participating in this festival are Gautier Capuçon, Paul Lewis, Sergei Babayan, Les Musiciens du Louvre, the Szymanowski Quartet, soloists of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, National Orchestras of Czech Republic, Belgium, Georgia, singers of opera houses in Paris, Barcelona, Stuttgart, top Ukrainian musicians and many others. The festival includes many different concert formats and educational projects, such as numerous lectures and master classes, a competition for young composers, a children's orchestra, flash mobs and much more.

All upcoming concerts have been cancelled due to COVID-19.

Vitali's participation in a concert with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie in Saarbrücken and works by Ligety, Schoenberg and others was cancelled by the organizers due to his stay in Milan at the end of February. This is one of the first cancellations of concerts due to the coronavirus.
